Have you ever said things in the past like “I’m beside myself with worry”, “I don’t feel like myself” or “I feel really disconnected”?

This describes your energetic state when you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, stress, fear or overwhelm. This is a common occurrence because these emotions can lead to feeling disconnected, ungrounded and wobbly.

Energy healing is a holistic approach to overcoming anxiety by balancing and restoring your body’s energetic centres and pathways.

One energy centre that is an important aspect of energy healing when overcoming stress and anxiety is balancing your Earth Star chakra.

The Earth Star chakra is rarely talked about, however a very important one. It is located approximately 30cm below the soles of your feet and helps you to anchor into the gridlines of the Earth. When functioning well, it helps you to feel balanced, centered and grounded.

Signs your Earth Star is not balanced –

  • You feel fearful or stressed
  • You may struggle to think clearly
  • You may bump into things or feel off-centre
  • Not feeling aligned
  • Not feel like yourself

When you are grounded, you are better able to –

  • Create and hold space for yourself
  • Be present and aware of what is going on for you
  • Feel aligned
  • Have improved clarity and focus
  • Feel more resilient
  • Feel more secure

So, how do you go about healing your Earth Star chakra? In-person energy healing is very effective, however, if you are unable to attend a session (in-person or online), here are some self-healing tips to help you ground your Earth Star chakra –

  • Create a quiet and peaceful space where you won’t be interrupted.
  • Gently close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
  • Bring your awareness to the soles of your feet.
  • Imagine there are cords of energy that flow out through the soles of your feet and into your Earth Star chakra beneath your feet.
  • Imagine these cords of energy flowing out from your Earth Star chakra and down into and connecting with the centre of the Earth.
  • Imagine the grounding energy of the Earth now travelling back up those cords of energy and into your Earth Star chakra, up into the soles of your feet and gently up through the midline of your body, through your energy centres and out through the crown of your head.
  • Take a moment to feel the support and healing of the grounding energy of the Earth flowing through your body.
  • Gently bring your awareness back to the soles of your feet, your breath and the present moment.

When you practice this grounding exercise, take note of how you are feeling both before and after this process and also notice how your feet feel when you connect with the grounding energy.

Grounding your Earth Star chakra is a powerful practice that can help maintain a deeper sense of calm in your everyday life.
